Iα the case of Professor Swallow's bankruptcy, Mr Hoffman, a music seller, was obliged to surrender to the trustee a valuable liarp bought from him, but never paid for. A warrant was issued yesterday for the arreet of John Purcell, a bankrupt contractor, who is suspected of intentions of levanting. The Key. Mr M'Nicol left for Dunedin to-day to represent the Auckland Presbytery at the Otago Synod, with the special object of advocating the amalgamation of the General Assembly of the Northern Presbyterian Church and the Otago Synod.
