From the 1st of April, 1857, a record h.is been kept of all the gold exported from the colony. The total value of this export now exceeds £31,000.000, a result which speaks well for the richness of our goldtields when the fewness of our population is taken into consideration. This export to the 31st of March is divided among the provinces as follows : —
