MINING NEWS. GRAHAMSTOWN, Saturday.

Red Queen. — A ciushingof 21 loads of stuff from the Ked Queen mine, which was crushed for the company at Bull's battery, Kai ika, was finished up to-day, and the yield moie than met anticipations. It in, in fact, a veiy handsome return of nearly 4\o7. to the load, for the yield after melting was 9) 07. 12dwt. gold. A crushing for Heidi and party, tributei s m the same mine, is now going on at Bull's machine, and gives promise of a very hi ml some yield. Albcrnia Tribute. — Foster and party, tributers in the Alburnia mine, have completed a crushing of 31 tons at the Moanataiari battery for ,\ return of 29oz. lOdwt. gold. Golden Track. — Another trial crushing from the Golden Track Claim was completed to-day, and the result, amounting to loz. l!)dwt. gold after melting, waa lodged at the BaDk of New Zealand. Collarbone. — A trial crushing of a ton fioni the Collarbone Claim yielded lSdwt. 12gr. of melted gold. Kukdnui Hill United. — Some of the tributes that have been lecently let in this company's mine, particularly in the section formerly held by the Long Diive Company, me turning out to be very profitable speculations. One of the parties last night obtained a rich haul of 401b. of specimens, which are estimated to be worth 2o/i. to the lb. These weie found in a bianch leader which is not more than about 2in. thick. It was picked up in the old workings. Waio-Karak.v Drainage.— To-day the men commenced lowering the new draw lift into the Bright Smile shaft, and if everything goes on smoothly pumping will be resumed early on "Wednesday. The water has not risen so materially during the present stoppage as was anticipated, in fact, not to create any serious inconvenience, and should pumping be started as soon as is expected it will not even interrupt the sinking of the Queen of the May shaft, on which the contractors are steadily working through country of a very hard chrracter. Littlf Agnes. — Crashing for the Little Agnes claim, Tararu, is for the present suspended, and on Monday there will be a general cleaning up and retorting at the Missouri batteiy. It is not intended to resume crushing until the reef is met with and developed in the low level tunnel which is now being diiven.
