PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.
Mhs Jkwv coinphmeutary benefit was patronised last night by an enthusiastic and numerous audience. Tim first piece, " The Daughter of the Regiment," was clnetiy remarkable for the excellent singing of the htivfirtiin, and the too often audible voice of, the promptei Under \eiy git at dith'eultics,caused altogether l>$ themoduuite acquaintance with the text poases-sed by all the performers, the piece called forth re peated applause fioin the good humoured spectators. The operatic drama was followed by the horizontal bar feats of the Brothers Da Villc, who displayed their usual finished stylo. The concluding piece was " Catching a Governor," in which the graceful dancing and vivacious acting of Miss Nye covered a multitude of defects in the other artistes. The beneficiare was honoured with a floral tribute at the conclusion of the evening. This ereaing a complimentary benefit is ho given to Mr E. D. and Miss Da\ les. The pieces to be presented are " Naval Engage menta " and "The Widow's Victim," with the Du Villes' performance in the interval between the dramas. To-morrow night, the benefit of Messrs. Bui ton and is to take place, when the bill \sill consist ot " li eland as it was " and " The \rea Belle "
