To the Editor : Sir, — With reference to your article on the "Sanitary condition of the city," I havo the honour to refer you to the New Zealand Gcr.clle, No. 75, December 30th, 1S75 ; there you will see that the Registrar General's * report includes the deaths in the hospital. There were eleven deaths in the hospital during the month ot November, and 26 in the borough, making a total of thirty-seven. Mr. Goldie omitted in liia report the child that was drowned in a water hole, and a woman who died in the immigration Barracks of typhoid fever. Deaths in hospital, November 1S75 :— 3, Bright's disease ; 1, old age ; 1, pneumonia ; 1, heait disease; 1, aneurism of aorta ; 1, serous apoplexy ; 2, typhoid fever ; ] , asthma, inducing pneumonia ; total, 11. — I have, &c., John M.
