THE BISHOP'S PRIZES.
The following list gives the names of tho schools, and the number of scholars from each, who were examined onPridayand Saturday last for pr!ze3 given by his Lordship the Right Rev. Dr. Cowie, Bishop of Auckland. The examination was by written papers and the result cannot be known for some days. There are twenty-four prizes to be awarded provided the answers of so many scholars considered to reaoh the required standard. The examinations was held at Bishop's Court, of all the schools not marked with | an asterisk ; these latter were examined at their respective localities : —
