THE DINNER. Covers were laid for 50 in the dining-room of the hotel, and about that number sat down to time. After justice had been done to the edibles, the president of the association, E. Jfamlin, Esq., proposed the usual loyal and patriotic toasts, reverting in infecting terms to the late iSupeiintendent, whose memory was drunk in silence. — The vice-chairman, W. J. Harris, Esq., proposed " The healths of the Bench and Bar,' coupling with the toast the name of It. C] Barstow, R M., who suitably responded on behalf of the Bar. The toa3t of "The army and navy and colonial forces,'' w.is proposed from the vice-cliair, and duly responded to by Captain Alexander. — Joseph May rose hi response to the toast of "The House of Representatives, " and stated that piolubly Consolidation v.
