A SHOCKING MURDER MYSTERY.

A telegram to the Chicago 7W<s from Anderson, lad., October 21st, says :— Much excitement was created iu this city by the discovery of a terrible and mj'&terious inur der, which waa committed upon the tarm of Mrs. Mrsaen, two miles south-east of town. The facts, as ascertained before a coroner s inquest, are about as follows :— A fow weeks since, a tenant who moved to the Mossen tarm expressed a wioh to clean out an old well, into which dirt and stones had been thrown, so that the watsr could be used for stock purpo3e«. This was strictly forbidden by Mrs. Mossen, and he abandonded the work for the timo : but, after a few clays, in going by the well, he saw several spots of blood around it. Thinking the matter over, he, iu comwany with some other men, went to the well and commenced throwing out the atones ; and when at the depth of sir feot came acns3 the feet of a human being. Continuing the work, the body entire waa exhumed, m an advanced state of decomposition. The only apparel found upon the body was a shirt ; but around the neck was a hempen halter, some four feet in length. Mrs. Mosaen recognised the body as that of her youngest son, Albert Mossen, but soeme very little grieved over tho matter. She stated that he left home on July 27th with 143 dols. m his possession ; but only a few days after his supposed depaiture she came to town with a suit of clothes, which young Mossen had previously purchas n d,aud endeavoied to get the clothing merchant to take them back, saying that her sou could not take them back with him on the journey. She has been placed under arrest. The general opinion is that an older son of Mrs. Mossen, living in an adjoining country, committed the deed for the purpose of securing the portion of tho estate coming to hia brother, and that mstead, of Albeit goiug ott upon a jouruey, ho was murdered threo months since.
