"VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
The monthly inspection of Nob. 1, 2, 3, and 4 Companies of the Rifle Brigade will take place thi<i evening, at 7.30 sharp. Major Cooper will- act as inspecting officer. The Auckland Scottish Rifle Volunteer Company assembled for weekly drill yester. day evening, under the command of Captain Mowbray. The men were put through platoon and skirmishing drill ; and the various movements were exeauted satisfactorily. The Victoria Company, under Captain Derrom, were put through their usual weekly drill at the Drill-shod, last evening.
