MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS.
Crown Prince G.M.Co. —The half-yearly mteting of the shareholders of the Crown Prince G.M.Co. was held at tho Queen's Ferry Hotel yesterday afternoon. There wm a good attendance of shareholders. Mr. G.S. Graham occupied the chair, and read the directors' and mine manager's report and balance-sheet. The directors' report spoke Yery favourably of the affairs of the com{>any. The mine manager particularised at engbh the work done in the mine during the past half-year. The following it a summary of the balance-sheet made up to December 31, 1873 ;—Dr.: To balance June 30, £322$. 10d.; received on calls, £920 13s. ; miscellaneous, £7 19s.; sale of 433oz. 16dv7t. 12gr. gold, £1,247 13a. ; total, £2,208 7s. lOd. Cr.: By wages, contracts, erection of winze, Ac, £1,461 9a. 5d.; purchase cottage, &c,, £28 9s; advertising, Ac, £905s.6d.j legal manager, mine manager, &c. (salary), £65 13i. 4d.; forfeited shares bought, £4 15s.; balance at bank, £535 0s. Id.; balance in hand, £23 4a. 7d.: total, £2,208 7s. 10d.—Capital account: Dr.: To 12,000 shares at £2, £24,000 ; 30a. per share considered paid, £18,000 : balance, £6,000. Cr. : By calls, £3,466 7e.j shares forfeited and calls payable, £533 13a : total, £6,000. —The reports and balance-sheet, as read, were adopted. —The Chairman read the following telegram, received just before the meeting commenced, from the mine: — " Gold showing freely in winzes. No. 1 reef 5ft. wide. Showing gold freely, ftofc cleaned up at battery. Looking next better." —The election of directors was proceeded with —Messrs. Stock, Graham, Soppett, Cochrane, Cook, "White, Williamson, Ogle, Bell, and Winks, were proposed. After a ballot had been taken tho following gentlemen were declared elected, Messrs. G. S. Graham, Soppeth, Williamson, Cochrane, Ogle, White and Cook. Mr. Griffith moved and Mr. Bell seconded that an honorarium of £20 be given to Mr. Winter the manager for his exertions in forwarding the interests of the company. It was moved m an amendment by Mr. Craig and seconded by Mr. Johnson $hat the sum to be giren b« £50. The amendment was carried. Mr. Winter thanked the shareholders for their gift. Messrs. S. Wells and James Wrigley were elected auditors. Votes of thanks to the director! and the chairman were proposed and the meeting them separated.
