fBefore G. S. Graham and J. Dilworth, Esqs., J.P.s.l Drunkenness. — For this offenoe, seven persons were each punished in the usual manner. •Assault. — William Marshall wm charged with assaulting Constable Limmer, and also with destroying his hat, valued at 11s. 6d. — Inspector Broham stated that, considering the advanced age of the prisoner, he would not press thj& 'charge if he would- consent to pay the damage done. — The Bench ordered the prisoner to do this, or, in default, to be imprisoned for 24 hours. <• Vagrancy. — Samuel Hughes waa ordered to be imprisoned for one month with hard labour for behaving in a riotous and improper manner in the public street.
