CITY HALL.
Mb. Charles's panorama st the City Hall last night was well attended by an appreciative audience. It seemed as if the audience would never tire gazing upon the representations of the rains of ancient Egyptian architecture. Many of these scenes were warmly applauded, especially the ruins of Karnac, Luxor^ Thebes, &c. The representations of the alligators on the banks of the Nile were creditably executed. At the close of the exhibition of, the Oriental acenea there was some eerio - comic singing, after which were passed under —Wview the scenes relating to the late > franco-Ger-man 1 - war. The successful* exhibition of these splendid' pictures was heightened to the utmost by the most approved methods of illuminating them with varicoloured lights/ and which produced - a very pleasing effect. - A' : descriptive lecture accompanies the unrolling of the panorama.
