CURE FOR LOCK-JAW.

To the Editor: Sir,— l notice that a death has occurred in Auckland from lock-jaw, and yet the cure is easy. A pound of cut tobacco moistened with hot water, and placed upon the abdomen as hot as can be borne, will speedily effect a loosening of the jaw. Tn fact if kept on long the whole body feels (to the patient) as if about to fall to pieces. Lock-jaw has also been cured by a lime Tapour bath. Let our doctors be careful in losinganother patient from the cause. — I am., *c., Expbeto Ckede.
