The s.B. City of Adelaide took her departure for Sydney on Saturday afternoon last. The s.s. Kangatira will leave for Southern ports to-day. The schooner Amherst sailed for Newcastle on, Saturday last The schooner Dauntless took her departure for Tauranga yesterday morning. The brigantinc Coronet arrived at the powder ground on Saturday morning last from Dunedin, bringing a general cargo. Captain Robinson reports having left Dunedin ou the 24th ultimo, at 7 p.m ; hove to off Castle Point on Tuesday last for 10 hours during a strong W.N.W. gale, tho sea niakiug clean breaches over the vessel. Thence to tho East Cape, which was passed on Friday morning last, light southerly winds. Strong SE. winds to Mercury Island. Off Tiritiri was becalmed from Friday morning last. On the discharge of her powder, the schooner will come up harbour to discharge the remainder of her cargo. The cargo of the Opotiki, from Opotiki, consists of IGO bags wheat, 160 bags maize, 79 pigs, 4 cases. The North German Lloyd's Steamship Company of Bremen are at present building eleven new trans-Atlantic steamships — three entirely for New York ; one to run to New i Orleans in the winter and to New York during the summer months ; two for the Baltimore, three for the West India, and two for the South American trades.
