Notice is hereby given that it is intended to apply to the General Assembly of New Zealand for leave to briDg in a bill to confirm and extend a certain grant and agreement mado betweon Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, as the holder of delegated powers of the Governor and Govornor in Council, under the Goldflelds Act, 18(56, and tho Amendment Acts thereto, and William Crush Daldy, James Tanuock Mackelvie, William AHkon, Thomas Murison Stewart, Horatio Nelson Warner, Andrew Wardrnp, John Loean Campbell, William Lee Itces, and Willam Knrl, under the said Acts, which said grant and agreement re ates to the constrnction of a certain Tunnel through the Tokatea Range at Coromandel, in tnp Province of Auckland, and Colony of New Zealand, the extensions to be sought in the proposed bill being the alteration of the time for construction of tht said [tunnel to four years in lira of three, and tbe timo of enjoyment of special rights granted to twenty-five ih lieu of twenty years.
