It appears the Quiver left the Barrier for Aueldaud on Sunday, having on board Mr. Oompton and two other gentlemen. Sho had fino weather but adverse winds until within a mile or two of Brown's Island, when a heavy squall suddenly struck her, carrying away her mast, and nearly submerging her. It was only by great labour that the broken mast was regained and set up, during which time the cutter lay at anchor in a heavy sea. On the following morning sail wa3 again set, and the little craft wa3 brought up the harbour without further mishap.
