MEETING OF THE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, ONEHUNGA.
A MKErma of the members and friends of the Congregational chapel, Onehunga, w>a' held in the school-room on Thursday. Tea and its agreeable accompaniments having been provided and partaken of, the business portion of the meeting opened with prayer. The pastor (Rer. T. Hamsr) gave a t report with remarks in . reference to' the circumstances under which, he had been called to take charge of this branch of the Christian, Church, and tho manner in which he had - endeavoured to . discharge faithfully the responsible duties of his office jihce May, 1869. Inconsequence of a number of mem* hers having left the district during the past r year, the financial statement, $c, of the „ church before the meeting showed veuy much. Jew than the amount required.
