Mr. S. Hague Smith reports:— "A considerable amount of business done in the sharemarkefc to-day. Cures still in moderate demand, and Green Harp have sold freely at rising prices. There has been very little inquiiy for Caledonian and Thames. My sales comprise— Thames, £5 5s ; Tokatea, £1 18a ; All Nations, £4 10s and £4 7a 6d ; Cures 10a to 10s 3d ; Pride of Tokatea, 6s (5 1 ; Jehu Bull, 2s to 2i 61, now held for 3* ; City of London, 13s. Sellers : Alburnia, £3 10 j ; All Nations, £4 103. Bayers : Tokatea, £1 18s." Mr. Charles Barton reports :— " Market active. Cures in good demand ab yesterday's prices ; nothing doing in Caledonians. Thames, £5 7s 6d ; Green Harp, £5 to £7 Cm es, 9s Gd to 10s ; John Bull, 2s, 2s 6d, and now held for 3s, with good demand ; All Nations, £4 10s ; Alburnia sellers, £3 10s ; Moanatamri, sellers £2 12s 6d, buyers £2 103 ; Nonpareil, sellers £3 ; Tokatea, £1 ISs, buyers £1 17s 6d. Inquiries for Bank, Gas, and Insurance shares, at market rates. Other stocks remain quiet at yesterday's quotations." Mr. E. B. Eobinaon reports :—" V ery fair business done to-day ; Green Harp, Cororaandel in active demand. I sold Green Harp at £6 5* to £6 7a 6d ; All Nations, £4 10-, : Italian, 2s Gd. Buyers Green Harp, Caledonian, Tokatea, Pride or Tokatea, Calf, and Central Italy." Mr. Saunders reports:—" Sales this day : All Nations, £4 10s, closing buyers £4 10s ; Thames, £5 ss ; Cure, 10s, 9s, 10s, not so much in demand j John Bull, 2s 6d, buye rs 2s Gd ; Tokatea, buyers 335, few offering. Caledonian inquired for at £14 10s. Sellers Bird-in-liand, 7s 6d ; Celt, 7s Gd to Bs." Messrs. Vickers and Davies report :— " A further rise iv Green Harp shares. Sales at £5, £5 10s, £(5, £6 10s ; Cures at 10a, iv demand ; Tokatea, 355 ; Central Italy, 555; Thames, £5 ss, sellers at £5 7s 6d ; Caledonian, £14 10s ; John Bull, 2s, closing 28 6d. Buyers Italian at 2s 6d, sellers 3s Gd; Queen of Thames, selleis2s; Working Miners, ss. Buyers: Shotovers,6d; Pride of Tokatea, Ga Gd ; Thames, £5 ss ; Tokateaa, Pacific. Sellers : Conquering Heio, 2a 6d : Bank shares, £19 155." Mr. J. M. Lennox reports :— " There was au improvement in the sharemarket to-day. CaWlonian3 were sold at £15 ; Thames, £5 sa ; All Nations, £4 10s ; Graen Harp, £6 103 ; John Bull, 2s 6d ; Tokatea, 38a. I have buyers of Caledonian, £14 10s; Thames, £5 59 ) Tokatea, 38s ; John Bull, 2s 6d. Sellers : Caledonian, Thames, Green Harp." Mr. .7. Mowbray reports :— " Sales this day : Tokatea, £1 i6s ; Otago, 15s ; Thames Gas, 11s Gd, buyers 11s 6d. Closing buyers : Caledonian, £14 10s ; Thames, £5 5s ; Long Drive, £7."
