Kj»OX BoM by order of the Jockey Ohib, on Saturday, 17th inst., at tho Hamilton Hnll — The" grand stand, for £3 105.,t0 Mr. Thomas Farrell ; the booth, for £0, thr same buyer ; gates, £9 55., Mr. Knox ; cards of the races, 6d. each, to Mr. Joseph Highley. The stewards have worked hard to make the meet of '72 the most successful that baa been held in the province. A new course has been fenced off and laid down with «rass ; the grand stand has been removed to a more commanding position. On Tuesday, 20th inst, the stewards—Colonel Lyon,Messrs. Hammond, Simpson, Carpenter, and Farrell - met to receive entries, and to handicap the horses for the Hamilton Cup, viz.: Numa, late Black Eigle, 10st. 101b ; Count, 9st. 31b.;' sMarrjuis,fBst.s Marrjuis,f8st. 81b.; Nnma, Bst. 51b. j Maori Weed, Bat. 31b ; Billy Barlow, Bst. 31b. At the close of the meeting, 58 entries in all had been received Messrs. Quick, in conjunction with the Steam Navigation Company, arc taking passengers during the race week for 305., includiug return ticket.
