Messrs. 'Sweto, Scott, and Co. report : — 11 Great fall in Caledonian shares — £103 to £100, buyers at latter price ; Thames, £20 ; Otago, SOs to 77s ; Rod Queen, 9s Inquiiies for Pride of Tokatea at 3s ; Tokatea, SOs ; Conquering Hero, Is Gd. Sellers of Golden Calf, GOs." Mr. J. M. Lennox reports : — "There was considerable excitement in the sharemarket. Caledonian shares sold at £100. My sales comprise— Caledonian, £100; Thames, £20 103 ; Biamarek, 13a ; Otago, £4. Closing sellers — Caledonian, £100 ; Thames, £20 10s; Otago, £4." Mr. Saundera reports sales this day :—: — "Ofcago, 70s, 77s Gd, 78s, closing sellers 80s ; Ballarat, Bs, closing sellers 8s ; Thames, £20 and£2oss,closing sellers £20 10s; Caledonian, £100, closing at £102 10s, with few buyers. Buyerß : Shotover, 8s ; Nonpareil at low rates." Messrs. J. and G. Mowbray report : — "Sharemarket very dull. Caledonian and Thames stock very much depressed. Caledonians have sold at £100, £102 10s; Thames, £21, £20 10s; Otago, 803 ; Tokatea, 82s; Central Italy, 50s ; Pride of Tokatea, 3s 6d ; Peep o'Day, 4s 6d. Neptune, sellers, 12s Gd ; Red Queen, 9s. Considerable demand for Ofcago, Red Queen, and Pride of Tokatea."
