Mr. J. Tonson Garlick reports :— " Sales this day : Caledonian, 127/. 10s to 1251. ; Thames, 24/. and 24/. 10s. Buyers : Shotover, 11s ; Central Italy, 21. 10a ; Union Sash and Door Company, 41. 155." Messrs. Scott and Co. report: — "Leading stock much firmer to-day, with a slight upward tendency, although che depression still continues in all other stock. Sales: Caledonian, 1211. 10s ; Thames, 24/. to 25/.; Central Italy, 21. 12s. 6d ; Golden Calf, 21. 17s 6d ; Multum in Parvo, 8s ; Inverness, 21s; Shotover, 11s 6d. Sellers of Twenty, third of June, Green Harp, and Coromandel Harp." Mr. George Bennett reports :— " Saks : Caledonian, 125/., sellers 1271. 105. ; Thames, 23?. 108, 24*. ; Tookey, 29/., sellers 30/.; Inverness, 20s, 21s, buyers 21s ; Tokatea, 5/., buyers 41. 17s 6d; Pride of Tokatea, buyers, 2s, sellers 2s 6d. Coromandel stocks inquired for." Mr. Edgar W. Walker reports :— " The sharemarket has been tolerably active today, and sales have fully maintained yesterday's quotations. My sales have been— Thames, 24/., 24?. 10s ; Tokatea, 97a 6d ; Alburma, 5/. 15s ; Central Italy, 52s 6d. Sellers: Albumia, 5/. 15s; All Nations, 61.; Nonpareil, 6/. 10s." Mr. A. W. Fleming reports :—' " Caledonian, 125/.; Thames, 24/. 10s; Otago, 755; Tokatea, 97s Gd ; Coromandel Pacißc, 7s to 8a ; Bank of New Zealand, 35." Mr. W. J. Hunt reports :— " Leading stocks have been held firmer to-day. Caledonians, 125?. to 127/. 10s. j Thames, 24Z. •
Nonpareil, 6?. 10s ; Central, 52s 6d ; Inverness, 21s ; Multum in Parvo, 18s ; Pacific (Coromandel), 7s Gd ; Tokatea, 97s Gd. 1 ' Mr. J. M. Lennox reports : — "There was somo activity in the sharemarket today, but the market is still unsettled. My sales compjise—Caledonian, 124/. to 125/. ; Thames, 24/. 10s ; Inverness, JOs ; Shotover, iOa fld. Closing sales— Caledonian, 123/. ; Thames, 24/. 10s. The market closed with an upward tendency in Caledonian and Thames stocUs." Messis. D. F. Evans and Co. report: — " Business more active to-day. Caledonian, 123?.; Thames, 24/. 10s ; Nonpareil, 6/. 10s, buyers at 6?. 5s ; Otago, 75s ; Pacific, 7s 6d, Bs, and 9" ; Bank of New Zealand (Coromandel), 3s ; Tokatea, 97s Gd ; Central Italy, 52s Gd; Inverness, 205." Mr. Martin Sholl reports the following sales :— "Thames, 24/. ; Tokatea, 41. 17s 6d ; Inverness, 21s 3d ; Shotover, \2s 6d. Sales of Caledonian through another broker's office at 125/. Buyers of most of the shares quoted at same prices. Sellers: Caledonian, 130/.; Thames, 25/.; Tookey, 28/.; Shotover, 13s ; Inverness, 255. And of the following Coromandel stock : Venus, paidup, 20s : Excelsior, 11s ; Conquering Hero, Is Od ; Green Harp, 3/. 10s ; and Pride of Tokatea, 3s. Inquiries for Long Drives and Sons of Freedom." Mr. Saunders reports: — "Sales this day: Caledonian, 117/., 125/., and 127/.; Thames, 24/. 10s ; Inverness, 21s ; Golden Calf, 21. 17s Gd. Buyers: luverness, 20s; Shotover, 11s."
