VOLUNTEER IN TELLIGENCE.
Captain Johnstons, of the Auckland Naval Volunteers, No. 2 Company, calls upon th« members to assemble at Fort Britomart this evening at seven o'clock, when a few rounds of blank cartridge will be fired from the battery guns. The members are also called upon to assemble to-morrow for the inspection of arms, and to fire the Governor's salute. Captain Dargaville, of the Auckland Volunteer Engineers, requests the attendance of the members of that corps at the Albert Barracks at half-past ten o'clock to-morrow morning, for private parade, after which blank cartridge will be served out for the purpose of firing a salute to the Governor. Captain John Lundon, of the No. 1 Company Onehunga Rifle Volunteers, requests the members of that corps to assemble tomorrow- morning at eleven o'clock, at the Institute, for the purpose of furnishing a guard of honour to his Excellency the Governor. Every member is required to attend with rifle and side arms. The annual general meeting of No. 6 Company Auckland Rifle Volunteers is convened for this evening at the orderly room, Princes-street, at half-past seven o'clock. The usual monthly meeting of the Surveyors' Association is announced for August 2nd, at the Belfast Hotel, at 4 p.m.
