Mr. Sautidera reports sales this -day :—: — "Thames, 21/., and 22Z. 10s; Caledonian, 105/., buyers at that price; Tokatea, 60s, buyers ; Poverty, 8/. Thames, Tookey, and Tokatea in demand." Mr. George Bennett reports : "Themaiket firmer. Sales—Caledonian, 1051. to 107/.; Thames, 2U 10? to 22Z.; Tookey, 2R, closing buyers 21/. 10s ; Junctions, 37a 6d; City of London, 8s 6d." Mr. Joseph Newman reports :—" r lhe market has advanced slightly for Caledonian and Thames Goldmining Company. My sales comprise : Caledonian, 102 Z. 10s to 1051. ; Thames, 221. ; Otago, 565; Tookey (double issue), 211.; Bank of JNew Zealand shares; 182. ss. Buyers for Tookey at 211. j Tokatea, 65s ; Unas at market price." Mr.Pittar reports :—" Thames Goldmiuing Company's shares at 221. 10s, held for 2U.; Caledonian, 105/. 10s to 107/. 103; Tokatea, • 65s : all in demand. The market generally is much firmer than of late, though but little outside stock it> salable." ' Mr. Martin Sholl reports the following sales during to-day: "A large parcel of Bank of New Zealand shares at 18J. 5s ; Thames, 22/. to 221. 10s ; Tookey, 21/. Buyers of Gas, Insurance, and Union Sash and Door shares at high rates ; Thames at 221. ; Caledonian, 102/. 10s ; Toekey, 211. ; Una, 21s ; Sons of Freedom, 255; Tokatea at 3/. ; Otago at 21. 155." Mr. Edgar W. Walker reports : "The sharemarket to-day has been tolerably active, with little change in prices. Caledonian, 105/. ; Thames, 22/. to 22/. 10s ; Tookey, double issue, 21/. 10it022/. ; Otago, 21. 17s Gd ; City of London, Bs. Buyers of Caledonian, 102/. 10s ; Thames, 21/. ; Tokatea, 3/. ; Otago, 21. 10a. Sellers : Moanataiari, 3/. ; Lowland Lass, 15s ; Alburnia, 8/." Scott and Co. report sales : —"Caledonian, 102/. 103 to 105/.; Thames, 22/. to 21/.; Tookey, 20/. ; Tokatea, 60s; Otago, 555. Market very depressed." Mr. J. M. Lennox reports :—" There has been considerable business done in the sharemarket to-day, and leading stocks realised slightly advanced rates. My sales comprise : - Caledonian, 103/. 10s to 108/. ; sellers at 108/. Thames, 22/. to 22/. 10s; Otago, 565. Buyers of Thames at 22/,, sellers 22/. 10s. Sellers {of Bank stock at current rates; of Long Drive at 10/. 10s." Messrs. W. J. Hunt and Co. report sales : —" Caledonian, 102/. 10s to 105/. ; Thames, 22/. 10s to 23/. ; Tokatea, 3/. ss; Tookey, 21/."
