The Members of the Clan Campbell who were pre£ seat at the County Meeting held at Inreraray on tho 20th October, 1870, resolved to propose to the Clan at arge, that, in consideration of the AUunoe which was about to take place between Her Royal Highness the Princess Louise aud the Marquis of Lome, a Clan Subscription be mvit-id for the purpose of presenting zi suitable Offering to Her Royal Highness on her Marriage. It is requested th.it the Subscriptions, together with the full names aud designations of the donors, be sent, as soon as passible, to tlio Convener of the Managing Committee, Sir Donald Campbell, Bart., Dunstaffnage, Oban, Argyllshire, as the nature of tho Tresent must necessanly depend upon the amount collected It is proposed that the gift shall be accompanied with a list of the namo* and designations of the contributors, wiihout mentioning the amount of their subscriptions, in older to admit all classes ; and it is obviousl} most desirable that thib list should be as large as possible.
