PUKEKOHE : VOLUNTEER INSPECTION.

Saturday last being the first Saturday of the month, the Pukekohe .Rifle Volunteers held their usual Government monthly inspeotion parade. The corps was under the command of Captain B. Harris, Lieutenant J. B. Godkin, and Ensign Wightman ; Major LuBk, the Government inspecting officer, together with the Staff Drill Instructor, Ser-geant-Major Mowbray, also being present. The band fell in with tho company, and, the roll having been called, they were officially inspected by Major Lusk, who afterwards expressed satisfaction at the cleanly manner in which they had turned out. After th© parade, Major Lusk presented the prize won by one of the members of the company (Volunteer Brownlie) at the district firing. Three new members having been elected, and a resolution passed for holding the parade an hour earlier in the day, the men were dismissed. —[A Correspondent.]
