We understand that it is the intention of the Provincial Secretary to proceed to Mangonui to-day, for the purpose of making some arrangements respecting the appointment of a district engineer, &c, previous to expending a considerable amount of money in that district in opening up new lines of roads. These visits to the districts where roads are required to be made must bring the wants of each district more pointedly before the Government than any other Bystem of obtaining information.
