Passengers — Mr. Slatter and family (5) ; Mr. ' and Mrs. Masefield ; Mr. Cox, Captain Jones ; 9 second class and 30 steerage. Loading at London fob this Port. — Caduceus, 1,006 tons. The ship Queen Bee left London for this port on October 24, and was off Bickerton i (Devon) November 3, and landed pilot. The new steamship Queen of the Thames, at her trial trip at Glasgow, attained a speed of 12 knots an hovir under easy speed. ' It is proposed, says the European Mail, by a number of captains, a3 a token of their esteem for lamented brother officers, Coles andßurgoyne, that every captain on the active list shall subscribe one guinea, _to erect a private memorial, the style of which and the place of erection to be hereafter settled.
