nnENDERS will be received at the G^ieral JL Po*t-office, Wellington, until the 16th January! 1871, for the per<*ormance of the under-mentioned 1 Monthly Steam Mail Seivice*, for a peiiod of One Year from the 16th of February next determinable on three monih*' notice being given on either nde:--No. I—From Manukau to New Plymouth, calling at Raglan and Waitar., and back by same route. No. 2~From Opunaki to Patea. Whanganri, Rangatikei, Manawatu, and Wellington, and baok by the same rotate. No. B— From Auckland to Tauranga and OpotOd, and baok by the same route. No, «— From Napier to Turanganul and Hicks'* Bay, oilling at Wairoa, weather permitting, and back by the same route. The services to bo so arranged that each port mentioned shall be viiited twice monthly. The name*, tonnage, and horse-power of the vessels proposed to be employed in these aervices to be stated, and tho veusl* to b* approved by the Puttmaiter-General, and subject to be surveyed by some person appointed by him whenever he may consider it neoesiary.
