MANGERE BRIDGE.
The Provincial Council committee appointed to examine and report upon the practicability of the long-talked-of project for connecting Mangere vrith Onehunga by means of a bridge, having heard a good deal of evidence the matter, deemed it advisable before making their report lo personally inspect the proposed site. With this object they paid a visit to Onehunga, and crossed to Mangere on Monday last. Mr. Tole and Mr. AUright, with surveys and plans, accompanied the committee. Dr. Purchas,, Mr. JEtobertson, Major Walmesley, and others joined the party, pointing out the best position, &o.
