The special advantages offered by this well-esta-blished Society are— 1. Undoubted Security.— On the 28th February 1869. the ascertained total liability of tbe Society was £453,000, while the accumulated assats were £602,646, showing a clear surplus of £149,646. There is also over and above the Assurance Fund the additional security of a Special Reserve Fund of £50,000. At the above date the Society had in hand equal to 70 per cent, of the entire assurance premiums received from members. 2. Large Bonuse*— because, being a purely Mutual Office, the entire profits belong to the assured, and liar not to be paid away in dividends to shareholders The total Reversionary Bonuses declared by the Society amount to £485,000. Members of the Assurance Branch can obtain the value of their bonuses in cash, or appropriate them to a reduction of f ature premiums. Premiums may be paid half-y*arly «r quarterly. Should a member din during: the days of grace whilst the premium is unpaid, the policy will still be valid and effectual. Profits divided every five years. Loans, within the surrender value, are granted to members on the security of their policies. Surrender values are granted after a policy has endured three years.
