Una Company.— -The aew iron tramway constructed by this company was finished on Friday night, and is now in now in fall operation. It is a very great success. The site of the line was judiciously chosen. Every part of the Una mine is now in communication with the battery. Mr. Glendinning, the contractor for the tramway,' has thoroughly done hifl duty by it. The hopper and shoot by Mr. Elliott are also capitally constructed. The fortnightly crushing is a marked improve* ment on late yields. I hear that another patch of first-rate specimen stone was broken out of the mine this morning. Lobd Nelson. — The crushing for thi» claim at Bull's machine has been stopped for the present in order to make room for other parcels whicn have to be finished before Christmas. It has turned out very well so far. Twenty-one tons produced 21 $pz. re« torted gold. Bolton Abbey (alias Two Fingers, alias Windermere Claim) — To give this claim another trial some fifteen or twenty tons of stone will be crushed at Bull's machine next week. The Whau Company clearedup for the fortnight on Saturday evening, and obtained 113oz, 4dwt. after melting at the Bank of New Zealand. Dauntless and Sink-to-Rise. — A partial cleaning up for this company took place on Saturday at the Tramway machine, and 2760z. of retorted gold were obtained. MtTLTUM-iN-PARvo.— This company also partially cleaned up on Saturday at Weston'g, and obtained 1220z. of gold. Tookey's Tributers No. 2.— The 12-ton parcel sent to Goodall's machine by Lowe 1 and party yielded 35<'Z. 15dwt. retorted gold. The men are now making a winze on the leader, from which the stone was taken. Nolans Candlelight No. I.— The 36 tons crushed at Vickery's machine last week, and finished this morning, yielded. 100%oz. melted gold. This i 3 at the rate of 2oz,l6dwt. per ton nearly. Kttranci Creek.— Higgina and party, who have taken the ground about the lower end of the Kuranui Creek from the Kuranui Company, on tribute, crushed some 14 tons of stuff at the Manukau machine, which yielded 490z. Bdwt., or at the rate of 3ioz, per ton. First op June. — Some gold from this claim was melted at the Bank of New Zealand to-day, and then weighed 30oz. ldwt. Union, Moanatairl- Stone of superior quality was taken out of this claim last night.
