IMPORTS AND EXPORTS,

The General Government Gazette of the Sth instant contains the returns of the value of the exports from and imports to the several ports of New Zealand during the quarter ending 30th September, IS7O, from which we extract the following : — Exports — Auckland, 170,013/. ; Thames, nil ; Russell, 2781: Mangonui, nil; Hokianga, 2,3572.; Kaipara, 790/. For the corresponding quarter of 1866 the exports were :—Auckland, 155,410/. ; Thames, nil ; Russell, nil ; Mangonui, 243/. ; Hokianga, 1,300/. ; Kaipara, nil. The imports for the quarter ending 30th September, 1870, were :—: — Auckland, 305,773/. ; Thames, 926/. ; Russell, 12/.; Mangonui, nil; Hokianga, nil ; Kaipara, nil. For the corresponding quarter, 1869, the imports were :—Auckland, 301,556/. ; Thames, nil; Russell, 20/. ; Mongonui, 348/. ; Hokianga, 1,099/. ; Kaipara, nil.
