TAINMENT Will be given ON THURSDAY, JUNE 23 1870, In Aid or the Band Fund, By Members of the AUCKLAND RIFLE VOLUNTEER CORPS, Assisted by Ladies of the Profession.
Under the distinguished patoonage of the public of Auckland, who are thus appealed, to, for the first time, to show, by their countenance and support, their appreciation of the Volunteer movement in this City. From, the well-known liberality of the good people of Auckland, the Committee feel sure that this appeal will not be in vain.
The performance will commence, upon th rising of the curtain, with an Overture by the Band. To be followed by that (most appropriate to the occasion) amusing Comedy, by James Kenny, of
RAISING THE WIND.
After which, A Musical Melange.
The Evening's Entertainment to conclude with the Laughable Farce of the
IRISH TCJTOR !.
For Cast of Characters, and further particu lars, see Programme. The Committee particularly request that the Volunteers of all arms, who may honour the Performance with their presence, will appear in uniform. Doors open at half -past seven, to commence precisely at eight. Tickets — Dress Circle, ss. ; Family Circle, 3s. ; Stalls, 2s. 6d. ; Pit, 18.— may be had of the principal Shopkeepers and Music-sellers in the City, and from any of the Members of the Committee.
