Customs Receipts To-day : — Duties, 584.1 6s 4d ; li lit clues. 21 Os Id ; arms fees, 22 2s; pilobage, 12Z 2s 2<l ; port charges, 12s 7d. Total, 601 Z 3s 2J. Messrs. C. Arthur and Son sold 390 acres laud in Waihekc Island, haying a frontage to Okahuiti Ci-eek and Patiki Bay. Price realised, £350. The same firm sold the following pioperties: — 137 acres 1 rood, sections 1, 3, 4, and 5, village of Drury ; 33 acres 3 roods 21 perches, part of section 4, village of Papakura ; 34 acres 1 rood, 26 perchas, section 5, village of Papakura ; 6 j acres 1 rood 5 perches, section 6, village of Papakura. The price obtained was £160. Mr. Charles Davis sold, in the estate of Simon Lrpstine, by order of the Provisional Trustee, the following allotments : — Lot 1, suburbs of Auckland, £7 ; lot 2, suburbs of Auckland, £10 10s ; lot 3, Parish of Opaheke, £5 ; lot 4, Parish of Paremoremo, £25 ; lot 5, Paiish of Puni, £3; lot 6, Town of Raglan, £1 ; lot 7, mortgage, Upper Queenstreet, £110. Mr. Sibbin sold apples at from 6£d to 8d ; onions, l^d to l^'l. Sugars were offered, but withdrawn, no offers being given. Mr. B. Tonks sold a quantity of hardware, &c. ISfo quotations are given. i
Money Maiket and Discount : There is a full demand for discount at the Bank. Out i of doors, although there was a little more money available, the market rate is, firm, at 3 to 3£ per cent. ; the payments of to-day and to-morrow (March 3 and 4) being very heavy. The rate in the Stock Exchange for loans from day to day on English Government securities was 2£ to 3. On February 28, tlie Bank of Holland also reduced ita rate of discount from 44' to 4 per cent. Consols are quiet at 92 $to 92 J for money, j and 92| to $ for account 1 ; New and Reduced Threes, 91$ to 924 ; India Pour per Cents., 99£ to 99| ex div. ; do.
