Foi small lots of Adelaide brands of flour £13 i^ still asked, but for Victorian brands we understand that £12 15s would not be refused. Adelaide wheat is freely offered at 5s Grt, without leiding to any bu?ine s of a satisfactory character. An attempt was made to sell at auction in the forenoon, but. buyers being disinclined to opeiate, all that wns offered was "withdrawn There is certainly more doing hi feeding grains. Maize is selling for trade purposes at 3s lOd. An offer a trifle under was muds for a line of 7,000 bushels, but was not responded to. Oats have nl«o met with a good inquiry, ■and sales have been m ide at 33 lOd foi fair parcels, ■while 3s 9d offered for large lines was {refused. It is expected th*t new oats will be in the market next we-k At the pub ie sales, both oats Mid maize «ere offered, but little oi nothing could be disposed of. An invoice of Tup er's coirug^ted galvanised iron ha? been taken up at an improvement on late aales. We hear of the sale of a large parcel of new Kent hops, to arrive, say about 100 pockets, on terms withheld. In liquid 1 ?, we hear of Martell's daik brandy, in bulk, having changed hands at a full quotation. There is a good demand for Hennegsy's C»SB brandy : holders »s.k 26s 6d— a figure however, which buyers at present do not seem willing to give. Sales of the .Rhenish Cnmp»ny's No. 2 Moselle continue to be re i orted lit late rates. The wool ialei go on very satisfactorily. Price* are well maintained, and buyers compete very freely for all which comes forward, more especially if found to be in average or good condition. At the public gale this afternoon, and privately, cl >se on 2 000 bales •were got rid of. Greasy was sold at 5d to Old, ordinary sooured at lid to 14} d, and ordina-y to good fleece at lid to 165 d, while superior lambs' brought, 21
