Evening. Cu&toms Receipts : —Duties, £927 17s 4cl; light duos, £2 17s Sd ; M.S. fees, 2s; arms lees, 4g ; other receipts, £47 8s ; pilotage, £3 9s ; port charges, 14s sd. Total, £982 12s sd. Messrs. C. Arthur .and Son conducted totlay a Christinas sale of produce, poultry, groceries, &c. The following are the prices lealised : —Superior cheeses, 7dto 8d ; bacon, Sd; onions, Id to Ud per lb. ; potatoes, 4s Bd ; butter, 7id to 8d ; rice, I'd; sugar, 4.U1; flour, £13 ; fowls, 2s 2d to 2 s 6d ; ducks," 2s to 3s ; geese, 5s to 6's 6d ; turkeys, 9s. The same firm disposed of fruit at the following rates .-—Apples, 2.|d ; pears, 2£d to 2^'d. Mr. George Sibbin held a sale of bacon, mutton, hams, cheese, potatoes, &c. ; also of 20 boxes prime apples ; but no quotations are given. Mr. A. E.
