Information has been received, from Colonel McDonnell that lie has moved up to the west side of the Taupo lake, and that Major Roberta has gone to the north side, in order to cut off Te Kooti's retreat, who it is expected will try and reach his own country. Colonel McDonnell has received a communication from Major Kemp, and Topia, stating that they are on their way with 400 Whanganui natives to attack Te Eooti, and requesting every endeavour should be used to prevent Te Kooti's escape.
