ARRIVAL OF THE S.S. AUCKLAND. The A.S.N. Company's fine s.s. Auckland arrived in harbour last evening, at 7.30, from Melbourne and Sydney, with a large general cargo and several passengerfl. Captain Blick reports having left Sydney at 8.45 p.m. on November 8 ; passed the Three Kings on the 13th, at 10.30 a.m. ; rounded the North Cape same day at 2.40 p.m. ; arriving in harbour as above. Experienced moderate westerly winds till the lOtb, when the wind veered to S.S.E., gradually increasing until off North Cape, when it blew a strong gale, which laated until noon of the 14th, when it modevated. Had light winds and fine weather down the ooaßt. We have to thank the purser for our Australian files.
The s.s. Phcebe.— The C.S.S.N. Company's e.o. Phoebe, Captain H. Worsp, took her departure for Napier and other Southern ports on Saturday evening last. She had a Urge general oargo and several passengers, The sohooner Elizabeth Curio sailed on Saturday last for Russell. The brigantine Hannah Broomfield will sail for Norfolk Island to-day. The ahip Glonmark, Captain Wrankmore, passed Cape Otway for Melbourne on October SO. She anohored off Point Nepean (Poet Phillip) next day. The barque Harriet Armitage, Captain C. F. Leasing, sailed from Melbourne for this port on the 4th inßtant. The BiRQOB Novelty. — The barque Novelty, Captain Nearing, left Sydney on November 7 for this port with a large general cargo and the following passengers t — Mrs. NeariDg, Mr. and Mia. Wilion, Mr. and Mrs, Edwards, Messrs. Cox, Moses ; and 10 in the Steerage. The Colonial Government p.a. Sfcurb, Captain Fairohild, Bailed for Tauranga and East Coast, with stores, on Saturday last. The s.s. Tauranga, Captain Cellem, took her departure for Russell on Saturday afternoon. The sohooner Meteor will sail for Wbangarei to-day. Th« p. 8. Favourite will be ready to resume her trade to tha Thames about Thursday The Brio Fbeak. — The brig Freak, Captain Linklater, sailed from Newcastle for Auokland on November 4, with 27 tons coals, 24 tons h»y. . . Viraro back to Sydney, so that her new captain, Commander E. H.
