The crushing for the above company at tr« Xur*nui single-stamper was completed and cleaned up yaaterday. About three tons of ■tone w«re put through, including a quantity specimens, and the result is a HKdid yield. The retorted gold weighed Bdwt., which was melted at the Bank JH?cw Zealand, Grahamstown, this morning', Btl gave376oz. Bdwt. This highly satisfactory Hiult is from the first crushing of stone from ■he new leader, and the first of any con■equenofi whioh the company have had. I The Gold Discoverer i» now crushing a of 30 tons for the Pukehinau. As soon M thii lot is completed, six tons from a new leader in the company's ground, recently opentd in the Kuranui Spur, will bo crushed. Tbo leader in the Union Ckim, next the Dauntless, Moanataiari, is looking very well, s>eoimens being taken out nearly every day. hey expect a good crusting in a few weeks. The United Company, Waiotahi, had a trial crushing this week of four tons from the large nef in their ground, which yielded soz. 6dwt.
