The Brsfc little scrap of news since my last came into to'vn on Sunday, and was tj this effect— that an engagement had taken place at Tauranga, on the Taupo Lake, whore Te Koofci was defeated, leaving five of hia dead on the field. He then fled to his old quarters, Moeraugi, on the lake, where he had a strong fortification. A more leoent messenger from the front brings us intelligence of a concentration of the whole force vow in the neighbourhood of Taupo, fco attack Te Kooti at Moerangi.
