Breach op the Wharf Regulations.— James Butcher was charged by William Borridye, lessee of toll* for the Queen-atreet Whaif, with a breach of the above regulations by rof uaing to pay sixpence as toll or wharfage fora two-wheeled vch cle drawn by one horse. — Mr. Sheehan appealed for thoplnn* tiff, and asked for an adjournment until Monday week. He said that Mr. iiroJtfii-ld, counsel for the defendant, had agieed to allow the Cisc to stand adjourned until th.it day. —The Bench o'>seiv«d lhat it would be a great assistance to the Court wore a plan of the wharf produoid, as it would enabb ib to decide the question ut the alleged trespass with but little difficulty. Mr. Sheebau said he would be prepared with a plan on the day of hearing. The facts of the ca^o were not disputed, and it wai merely a question for argument, 'Ihe case wai how. ever of considerable importance both to the toll, collector aud the public, as the decision of the Juet'ces would have the effect, of settling the question whether the collector was entitled to reoeive ceiUin tolls, which would make a conaiderabla difference in the amount of revenue collected, The omb might be ndjouinid without prejudice to any one.— The Bench granted tho application for adjoucom'jnt; niul tlxia beituj all the business the Court rose.
