INQUEST AT SHOTRLAND.
An inquest was held at Shortland yesterday morn- , iog on the body of a child named Margaret MoDougal Comes, who was accidentlly poisoned on Tuesday, the 13th. instant, through eating a native plant called tupakihi. The child, at the time of the accident, was living with her parents at Tararu. A verdict was returned in accordance with the evidence,
