PEOSPECTTJS OF THE AUCKLAND GOLD-MINING COMPANY (REGISTERED). Capital, £20,000, in 4,000 shares of £5 each. Diregtobs. James Smart I Captain Harrison R. F. Porter, J.P. | Richarl R. Armstrong Dr. C. F. Fischer. Manager : Walter Sigley. Bankers.: Bank of New South Wales. Solicitor : H. H. Lusk. Secretary : R. Eaton.

rpiHE base of operations of this Company embraces JL an area of more than 18 acres of ground, and comprises the following well-known claims :—: — Kyber Pass, No. 1 and JNo. 2 Young Canadian American Eagle Thistle Scotia Star of the West ' Buckley's Mountain Midnight Watoh Crown Mosb Rose which hare amalgamated for the purpose of a better and more systematic mining management, in order t« dcTelop more effectually the rich, auriferous character of this locatiby, the certainty of which has been geologically aud practically proved to exist beyond a doubt, and which will be better and more economically accomplished now than in their separated state, in which it would have been a difficult and protracted work of time, which is fully recognised and borne out by the piesent small divisions of the goldfield. This claim will now comprise and require 53 miners working, who, when concentrated along the large area of the creek (where the richest indications are proved to exist), and by driving at a lower level towards the various claims which, m their isolation, and in consequence of their position, could only hare been reached by tedious and expensive sinkings, place it beyond uncertainty that within a short time large dividend* must be the result. The great qnantity of quartz accumulated by the workings of many months on the various claims, and which could not be conveyed to the machines for waut of roads and means, it is the intention of the directors to utilise at once, and from the proceeds of which they expect to carry on the workiug of the claim without being obliged to call on the shareholders for current expenses. The geological aspect of the claim is interesting. Passing along the tramway, and arriving at the junctiou, the observer is struck with the boldness and convergence of the hills — a clear indication of centralisation of the various reefs, to which the Kyber Pass seems to be the portal. On the right side of the creek, the rich reef of the Dawn of Hope— which, according to its magnetic bearing, runs right through the ground of the Company — has been practically proved by its discovery in Kyber Pass No. 2, it crossing the creek, and showing its manifestations on the opposite side. The rich leaders of the Newmarket Claim are also passing in Kyber Pass No. 1, where they have been found, while on the left-hand side of the oreek the solid mass of quartz rock of the Voting Canadian and Ameiican Eagle promise a rich yield which places a brilliant return beyond a question. While here are related merely the bare, proved facts, it is unnecessary to enumerate the indications of the leads of reefs of the surrounding olaims, which have hitherto realised good returns, and which all run through the field of the Company. The original shareholders have retained 3,600 shares, and are offering to the public an opportunity of a safe investment, and sure of large dividends, which is not to be met with on this goldfield, by placing 400 shares at disposal. £1 per share to be paid on application, £2 on allotment, and £1 afc

monthly calls if needed.
