Turrell and Tonks held an extensive sal* to-day of groceries, oilmen's stores, 4c. The following is a list of the prices obtained*: —Varey's and Kent's English hams,l2£d to 13£ d per lb.; Morton's oysters, 7<> per ease; Otago oatmeal, 2£d perlb.; Auckland flour, £19; congou tea, ex 'Catherine' 2s 2d; congou tea, ex ' Ernest and Mari«,' 29 04d ; crushed loaf sugar, s|d ; Mauritius crystals, 5$ 1; Company's b ugar,sd; Java rice, 2\-X ; tobacco, iv bond, lOdj Melbourne composite candles, s£dr; Fry's cocoa, 1« 41; war'vestas (250), 25s per, case^; grey paper bags, 5d per lb. • , [ Messrs. S. Cocbrane and Son lield a sale to-day of drapery, 4c, more or less damaged by salt-water. The following ia a; list of prices obtained :—Grey calico, 6|J; shirting, 6Jd ; swankin shirts, 30*; Scotch twill stilts, 265; drill, 91; prints, 4Jd to6d; flannel coats, 10a each; Crimean shirti, 695; mole trousers, ia each ; pain-killer, lls 31 per dozen, alao, a quantity of boots and shoes, furniture, &c, were disposed at highly satisfactory prices. At Mr. Sibbin's sale the following prices were obtained : Buttered to 84-1; beef, 67s 6d; potatoes, 75i to 80s; tea, 28s per box ; sugar, s|d ; featherbed, Is l^d per lb.
