He said the bar was no < place i for me. -I said my work was done, and I was only taking a glass with a friend, i Mr. Rogers then struck me in the face with his! clenched fist. Boyle Isft the bar, he weat up to Mr. Rogers, *t the; front door, -instead ot going out towards the, kitchen, j I did, not see Mr. -Rogers hit, Boyle with his , fist. I believe he only pushed him away. Philip Cogan, for the defence, said : I am barman at the Criterion Hotel, employed by Mr. Rogers. I| was in the bar on. this occasion. The ccomplainantt t bad been mt > the bar frequently on that day, andi had driuk for his friends. When Mr. Rogrrs spoke j to him. Boyle ar lered 1 ered rather sharply that his work' was done. 1 did not see Mr Kogers strike the com-; plaiuant. Boyle was not drunk, bat ha certainly ,wia far from sober, and Jay sleeping on the tap-room .table for some hours that evening. i The. Court dismissed the case with costs. i
