ARRIVAL OF DIGGERS FROM OTAGO AND THE WEST COAST.

About sixty diggers arrived in the Mannkau by the ' Ahariri ' on Saturday, and more may be expected immediately in the ' Airedale' and ' Wellington.' A good many of thoce who attired in the ' Ahuriri were from O ago. They o»me from Dunedin to Wellington in the ' Ladybird,' and were there trail•hipped to the ' >tormbird,' which brought th^m on to Whang«nui, whe r e they went on board the 'Aburiri.' The fact of diggers coming up from Otago shows that a wide-spread interest is beginning to be felt in the Thames g»]dfield, whioh will ultimately lead to numbers of diggers coming from every part of the Australian colonies.
