NEW CALEDONIA.
Wl are in receipt of news from Noumea up to the 19th ultimo. By order of the Minister of the Marine and of the Colonies, tb.fi Ist Compagnie Dinciplinaire dei Colonies is to hold itself in readiness to quit New Caledonia for the Isle Reunion. Colonel Meloor is to arrive in New Caledonia towards the end of June (from Coohin China), and to make a military inspection of the colonial foroe, and of the workshops, brideei, and road*, &c. A colonial enftign has been authorised for the use of coasting vesiels in the aervioe of the loonl Government — to be partly blue and partly a tri-colour. Bread, made of white maize, has been offered for sale in Noumea. The quality h*B been found to be excellent, and it is much commended. Mesitieurs Cherriere, Guiilanton, and Viellard, have been decorated with the crois of the Legion of Honour. The local news i» a very meagre description. On the sth and the 12th of April the Moniteur did not make its appearance "pour cause de de'me'nagement dv mat6rielde l'imprimerie."
