AUCTION SALES.

Mr. 0, Stichbury held a sale by auotion of drapery, clothing, &c,,on April 1, at his stores, Queen-street, and realised the following prizes ;— Calico, 6fd per yard ; tweed trousering, 3s 6d per yard ; trousers, from 5s 6d to 88 6d ; blue serge shirts, 36s per dozen j cheeked winceys, 8d per yard ; window net, 2^d per yard ; serge coats, 5s each ; ladies' white cotton hose, from 6s 9d to 10s 6d per dozen ; cord trousers, 7s ; pilot jackets, 12s 6d each ; tiokiag, 5d per yard ; alpacas, 7|d per yard. Messn. E. and fl. Isaacs held a large trade sale of drapery, clothing, &c, on the 31st, >at their stores. The goods were of a seasonable description, just having beem landed, ex ' Empress,' from London, and consequently fetched satisfactory prices. The following are the quotations : — Woollen-lined waterproof coats, trousers, and vests, from 9s to 12s ; JLndiarubber coats, trousers, and jackets, 20s ; white blankets (9-4), from 18s 6d to 255 ; 10-4, superior blanket?, 265 ; genitan blankets (9-4 and 10-4), 14s to 18s 6d ; tweed and doe trousers and vests, from 5s to 12s j Crimean shirts, 60s to 90s per dozen; gala plaids and plain winceys, Is 3d per | yard ; hosiery, 10s to 16s per dozen ; mole trousers, 6s 9d each ; American drills and ticking, 6|d per yard ; shepherd's plaid and fancy flannels, Is 6d to 2s 4d per yard ; cotton military and Shetland halfhose, 11s 6d to 15s per dozen ; cloth caps, 30s to 365. Mr. S. Jones held a sale by auction of tea, sugars, &c, on April 6, at following prices : — Tea, 2s Id per lb.; white crystals, s£d ; kerosine, 3s 4£d per gallon; pickles, 10s per dozen; currants, 4d par lb. ; MoGill s oatmeal, 3d per lb. Messrs. Turrell and Tonks held a sale of hardware, &0., on April 7, at their auction mart, Queen-street. The attendance was large, and the following quotations were realised : —American cut nails, I^-inch to 3-inch, from 30s to 32s per kesj ; Ewbank's nails, I^-inoh to 6-inch, from 22s to 325 ; French wire nails, I^-inch to 2-inoh, from 39s to 50s.
