Bs 1 the 'Eagle,' which arrived on March 19 from the New Hebrides and Fiji Islands, after a five months' cruise, we learn that steps have been taken by the natives of the island of Ngdronga, Fijis, to avenge the murder of the Rev. Mr. Baker, Wesleyan missionary of the islands of Viti Levu, Rewa, and Bau.. A. minor chief, Ratakir, of the island of Ngdronga, has taken up the matter, and, having collected some 2, 000 men from the group, proceeded to burn down the villages of the tribe who are known to be implicated in the murder. Five villages had been destroyed, with great slaughter amongst the tribes, before the * Eagle ' sailed from Ngdronga on February 23. The natives who are prosecuting the war have been collected by Ratakir, from various villages extending some 200 miles inland.
