The retarni for the quarter ending March 31' show a total expert of gold amounting 1 to 8,4040z. 19dwt., the declared value' of which (taken -fronTthe entries) was .£22,303, and the official value (at £3 3s. per oz.) £26,476. c The*returnsifor the previous quarter ended the' ; 3lsti of December -were 4,4450z., valaed at £14,004, bo that the-'quarter'just ended shows an increased gold export amounting to 3,9590z.. valued at £12,472. The following are* "the returns furnished by the Collected of Customs :— SriUBN of the quantity and value of gold exported from the. port of Auckland during the*- quarter ended the 31tt March.
